A native of Newport News, John began his career with W. M. Jordan Company as a field engineer in 1975 after graduating from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in geophysics. He developed a deep understanding of all aspects of the construction business through his roles as an estimator, project engineer, superintendent, and project manager prior to taking the helm as president and CEO in 1986.
Under his leadership, W. M. Jordan Company became one of the largest construction managers in Virginia, with annual revenues of $500 million dollars and a ranking in Engineering News Record’s in the United States for the past 35 years.
Many community organizations rely on John for guidance and support. His influence and leadership help these organizations provide the most impact for the people they serve. He serves on a number of local boards including , , the , , and the at Virginia Tech and the Board of Visitors at . His accomplishments include past Rector of the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors, past chair of the Fort Monroe Authority, and chair of Christopher Newport University’s capital campaign.
A natural leader, Ron sets the overall direction for the company, oversees operations, and fosters a culture built upon continual learning. He believes that investing in people and providing opportunities for them allows W. M. Jordan Company to grow and excel, now and in the future.
Lauster joined W. M. Jordan in 1997. He has managed complex projects such as the Ferguson Center for the Performing Arts at Christopher Newport University and the in Virginia Beach. He is adept in strategic planning with thoughtful leadership and a vision for growth and continual excellence for W. M. Jordan’s future advancement.
After obtaining his Associates degree at Tidewater Community College, Lauster earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology from Old Dominion University. In 2018, he graduated from Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Ron is also a graduate of the CIVIC Leadership Institute of Hampton Roads, Virginia.
Ron’s passion for educating, mentoring, and growing the next industry of leaders drives his civic involvement. He previously served as an adjunct professor at Tidewater Community College (TCC) and volunteered on several advisory committees at TCC and Old Dominion University. He has lectured at local schools and organizations, speaking on topics ranging from leadership to community development. As a steward of W. M. Jordan’s internship program, he has helped develop opportunities for students that provide real-world learning experiences.
In addition to his passion for education, Lauster is a champion for the community, supporting growth and involvement through numerous non-profit organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Bon Secours Hampton Roads Foundation, and is an Executive Committee member of Greater Peninsula NOW.
Ron and his wife, Melissa, have four children and reside in Chesapeake, Virginia. In his leisure time, Ron enjoys quality time with his family, fishing, theater, and the arts.
In 2014 Skip officially took the helm of W.M. Jordan Real Estate Development and turned it into a multi-million dollar, wholly-owned subsidiary of W. M. Jordan Company. On behalf of owners and third parties, he provides full-service, for-fee development with current development projects totaling over $250 million. Skip and his team actively manage an asset portfolio of approximately 1 million SF of commercial real estate with an estimated value at $111 million with nearly 93% occupancy rate.
Skip leads a knowledgeable and efficient team to facilitate and lead diverse projects that include large scale industrial and mixed-use developments such as Blacksburg First and Main and Mariners Row Apartments. He is closely involved in the strategic planning, design, and direction of real estate projects that benefit our region, such as Tech Center in Newport News and Harbor Commerce Center Warehouse.
Skip’s career started with W. M. Jordan in 1986. Prior to his current role, Skip served in many capacities within the company; including Project Superintendent, Business Development, and Project Executive.
Skip’s experience and knowledge provide him with a deep understanding of the customer’s needs, promoting successful outcomes based on their goals. He has worked to ensure his team performs projects on time, controls budget cost, creates maximum investment value for clients, manages relationships with municipalities, and builds a strong network of partners.
Skip gives back to the community through active participation on the boards of the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula and the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad Foundation. He is past president of the Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate, past chairman of DePaul Health Foundation, and past chairman of the Mary Immaculate Foundation.
Jim’s strategic approach and strong relationships with the banking community leads to long-term stability and success for W. M. Jordan and its clients. As a certified public accountant licensed in Virginia, Jim worked for 13 years with “Big 4” accounting firms before joining W. M. Jordan Company as its corporate controller. Today, Jim serves as vice president, chief financial officer, and corporate secretary.
A veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, Jim holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Christopher Newport University, where he graduated summa cum laude in 1993. In 2014, Jim became an alumni of the Hampton Roads CIVIC Leadership Institute and in 2017 he completed Stanford University’s “Emergent CFO” and the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business’ “CFO Strategic Partnership” programs.
Community groups rely on Jim’s knowledge and sound advice. His civic service includes two terms as a member of the CNU School of Business board of advisors, past board president of the, , and Peninsula Fine Arts Center. Jim currently serves as president of the Riverside Foundation and as a Commissioner on the Board of Commissioners for the Virginia Port Authority and on the board of directors for the . In addition, Jim is a member of the, the,and the.

Ken began his career with W. M. Jordan Company in 1993 as director of quality management, responsible for maintaining quality standards throughout the company, heading corporate development and training programs, and managing the Richmond division. Ken has extensive expertise in company organization and structure, quality improvement and management, employee training, and overall business management. He oversees our and efforts.
Prior to joining W. M. Jordan Company, he served at Norrell Corporation for over a decade in several capacities including vice president, division manager, regional manager and director of sales and marketing. Ken is an active member of the , and served as state chairman in 2006. He is an industry board member of the at Virginia Tech, a member of the board, and a member of the board.

John’s comprehensive skills developed over three decades of building, and is currently the Senior VP of Operations for W. M. Jordan Company, overseeing operations for all regions of the company. Since joining W. M. Jordan Company as a project manager in 2000, John has managed construction of many prominent projects including the , , and , to name a few. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and professional certifications in sustainable design and construction, project management, and healthcare construction. John completed the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business Advanced Management Program. He is a member of the Hampton Roads .
John lends his time and talent to the community through his work on the Advisory Board for the at Virginia Tech, on the Executive Board and Finance Committee for the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, as well as on the Executive Board for the CIVIC Leadership Institute.
Rob leads W. M. Jordan Company’s efforts in the Carolinas region. Rob opened the company’s Wilmington, N.C. office in 2012. The response to the company’s expertise and community involvement led to revenues of $88 million in 2017. The company ranks #90 on
Rob’s experience spans nearly every aspect of construction service delivery. He was W. M. Jordan’s very first intern in 1996 while at Virginia Tech. Since then, Rob has taken on increasing levels of responsibility and new leadership roles. He’s fulfilled diverse roles as project engineer, project manager, estimator, project executive, office manager, and business developer. Rob personally has managed over 70 projects representing over $500 million in contracts.
Rob holds a Bachelor’s of Science in construction management from Virginia Tech. A true believer in life-long learning, he continues to develop professionally and personally. He recently completed the Harvard University Executive Education PLD program, which conferred his HBS Alumnae status in 2018. Additional education courses include the FMI Construction Executive Institute Project Executive Course, The Disney Institute for Leadership Excellence, AGC Advanced Management Program, and the Healthcare Constructor certification through the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.
As a board member of the chapter, Rob promotes workforce development. He is a member of both the board of directors and the fun committee for Wilmington Downtown Inc., where he advocates for local businesses.

He also managed the VIMS Marine Science Research Complex and the Hopewell Regional Library projects. Glenn’s transition into business development led to the expansion of W. M. Jordan’s Higher Education market footprint from its roots in Central Virginia to now cover the entire Commonwealth of Virginia, working with every public institution.
Passionate about building, Glenn works tirelessly to promote industry collaboration through his work with the (AGC-VA), American Institute of Architects (AIA), and American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He served for 8-years on the board of directors for the AGC-VA, starting as the Richmond District president in 2009, continuing with the formation of the Industry Collaboration Group – a joint committee with AIA and ACEC, and culminating with his term as state Chairman in 2015. Collaboration is at the heart of any successful business, and Glenn continues to work tirelessly to promote collaboration across our entire industry in his leadership role with W. M. Jordan Company.

Howard joined W. M. Jordan Company in 1981 supervising construction of complex projects such as the Sentara Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, the Virginia Marine Science Museum, and the U.S. Navy Advanced Firefighting Training Facility before becoming a general superintendent responsible for project sites in Hampton Roads and the Carolinas. He is a certified Healthcare Constructor through the

Mark joined W. M. Jordan Company in 2004 as a Project Manager. He has managed a number of unique projects including the at Fort AP Hill, higher education housing including the , a 1,500 bed residence hall and the renovation and additions of Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia. He is certified in Contractor’s Quality Control and Advanced Management. His award-winning projects include a conversion of the historic Central National Bank Building in Richmond to a mixed-use housing project and the expanded .
Mark has been a member of the and has served on the Richmond District Executive Committee of the .
As a regional field manager, Frank works closely with project superintendents to improve efficiencies on the job site, troubleshoot potential problems and allocate resources across project sites. Possessing over three decades of construction experience, Frank is results-oriented and coordinates multiple projects and teams simultaneously. Frank has served as a mentor for many members of our field staff, specifically in the Carolinas, and will continue to guide our construction team members over the course of the project.
Frank joined W. M. Jordan in 2006. Since then, Frank has advanced from Superintendent to Senior Superintendent to a General Superintendent. During that time, Frank has worked on a number of W. M. Jordan projects throughout Virginia and the Carolinas, including the , the , and the .
As Project Executive, Scott brings over 29 years of experience to W. M. Jordan and our clients over a diverse range of project sectors including Higher Education, Laboratories, Healthcare, and Senior Living. Scott has a history of concurrently directing multiple projects to successful completion through effective management and team collaboration. He continually strives to produce high quality buildings and facilities while adhering to a schedule and budget. Scott is a results-oriented, hands-on professional with expertise in all facets of construction project management. He has a verifiable track record for the successful completion of projects through coordinating trades, developing partnerships, and building positive rapport with architects, engineers, local officials, vendors, and clients while maintaining costs. Scott is versed in contract negotiations, project estimating, constructability review, document preparation, building code and regulations, material purchasing, site management through substantial completion and occupancy.
Scott is committed to mentoring and is an active board member of the Richmond chapter of Ace Mentor having served as a Lead Mentor for the past four years.
As Project Executive, Jeff supports, guides and mentors the Project Team to ensure project coordination and quality control. He has 40 years of industry experience with an extensive background in the healthcare industry. Jeff focuses on client satisfaction, developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Owner. He concentrates on the big picture, allocating resources as required to be sure the team maintains the approved project budget and schedule throughout the project.
Andrew has been with W. M. Jordan Company since the age of 19. Starting off as a shop assistant, he quickly showed that he had a lot of potential to make a difference to the team at WMJ. Soon, Andrew was managing W. M. Jordan’s heavy equipment, including cranes, generators, trucks and jackhammers. His keen eye for organization and efficiency helped transform how W. M. Jordan managed its internal equipment.
Andrew’s work ethic and innovative ideas got him noticed by WMJ’s newly established Enterprise Technology department, where he joined the team as an Enterprise Technology Support Engineer, eventually becoming the Help Desk Manager. In 2021 Andrew was promoted to Director of Enterprise Technology.
Andrew uses his skills and experience to assist the W. M. Jordan Team with their technology needs – from the offices to remote jobsites, Andrew helps keep WMJ connected.

Julie is a resource for employees and their families who want to improve their lives through health and wellness. Her weekly newsletters, fitness classes, lectures and group challenges, inspire, motivate and empower people to take charge of their own well-being.
Julie began her career as a fitness instructor in 1985. Since then, she has managed and operated gyms, trained U.S. service members overseas, taught fitness on the community college level and in the private sector, and ran her own successful personal training business. She is certified by and a member of the .
As Wellness Director, Julie develops W. M. Jordan Company’s wellness initiatives, coaching both individuals and groups to be more proactive in their approach to wellness. She provides people with the framework to establish better habits and the encouragement to maintain and improve upon the healthy practices they already have. Her constant objective is to empower others to integrate wellness practices into their lives.
Like many of our employees, Mike is a product of our internship program. Mike joined 鶹Ƶ in 2004 as a project engineer and since then has taken on increasing levels of responsibility and new leadership roles within W.M. Jordan. Mike has managed over 30 projects representing over $550 million in contracts with a focus on federal and hospitality industries.
Mike’s Team approach to project planning has led to many successful projects such as Norfolk Hilton The Main, Virginia Beach Oceanfront Marriott and River Tower at Harbors Edge. As Project Executive, Mike supports, guides and mentors the Project Team to ensure project coordination and quality control. Mike focuses on client ensuring client satisfaction as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with our Clients and Trade Partners. He concentrates on the big picture, allocating resources as required to be sure the Team maintains the approved project budget and schedule throughout the project.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Management from Virginia Tech and a Masters of Business Administration from The College of William and Mary. Mike is a true proponent of life-long learning and continues to develop himself personally and professionally. Mike is a current member of the class of 2023 in the Civic Leadership Institute. He is the past president of the Peninsula chapter of the Virginia AGC as well as a past board member of the Virginia AGC.
Jennifer started her career at WMJ as a marketing intern. After graduating from Virginia Tech in 2009, she joined the team full time as a marketing coordinator. In 2015, Jennifer was promoted to marketing manager and to the director of marketing in 2020.
Throughout her time at WMJ, Jennifer has been an integral part in many of our most prominent jobs. She has worked with the entire team at WMJ to establish high standards of brand consistency and recognition across the region. She is a co-chair of the WMJ Women in Construction Network and is passionate about providing valuable educational and mentoring opportunities that support and promote career advancement, leadership development and overall strategies to succeed for women in the AEC industry.
Johnson was recently named a 2023 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Virginia’s Finest Honoree in Richmond. She is a past president of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Virginia Chapter and continues to be engaged in the chapter at a state and national level. Johnson was named the SMPS VA Chapter Marketer of the Year in 2018. She is also a member of Junior League of Richmond where she has served on the Recruitment Committee.
Johnson is an avid supporter of Virginia Tech sports, particularly football. You can find her in Lane Stadium cheering on the Hokies most fall weekends. In her other free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends at the beach.

As Director of Construction Accounting, Amy works within our organization to ensure consistency and accuracy in the financial reporting of W. M. Jordan projects in addition to overseeing daily cash flow operations.
Before joining W. M. Jordan Company in 2001, Amy received her Bachelor of Science in business administration from Christopher Newport University. In her time at W. M. Jordan, Amy has held, many different roles within our accounting department, making her a natural fit for the role of Director of Construction Accounting.
Amy is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and serves on the Board of Directors at the Virginia Living Museum. She is also a member of the W. M. Jordan Learning and Development Advisory Board.
As Vice President of Operations in the Carolinas, Randy supports, guides and mentors our project teams in North and South Carolina to ensure project coordination and quality control. He has 40 years of industry experience with an extensive background in the higher education industry. Randy focuses on client satisfaction, developing and maintaining strong relationships with the owner. He concentrates on the big picture, allocating resources as required to be sure the team maintains the approved project budget and schedule throughout the project.
A Certified Public Accountant and University of Virginia graduate, David is the Director of Finance for W. M. Jordan Real Estate Development. He oversees the financial strategy and accounting function of the real estate development practice, from project budgeting, obtaining financing, and planning tax savings strategies at project inception to relevant, and accurate financial reporting during project execution.
David joined W. M. Jordan in 2019 after spending over 11 years at a Big 4 accounting firm. During his time in public accounting, David audited the financial statements and internal controls for start-up, mid-market, and large public companies in a wide variety of industries. His client engagements included initial public offerings and convertible debt financings, as well as evaluating discounted cash flow models and valuation techniques for deals exceeding over $10 billion in acquired assets.
David’s ability to analyze and solve complex finance and accounting issues, identify key financial metrics, and concisely report findings make him an invaluable asset to our clients.
Dave enjoys giving back to others and most recently joined the United Way of the Virginia Peninsula Board of Directors as the Treasurer.
As the Director of Safety, John is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and training of W. M. Jordan Company’s health and safety program. He understands the necessary steps needed to keep a project’s construction operating safely. His efforts firmly establish the safety and well-being of all workers as a core corporate value.
John has been in the construction industry over 28 years and in safety for over 16. During his time with W. M. Jordan, John has served as the onsite safety and health manager for large scale jobs such as Westminster Canterbury of the Blue Ridge, Westminster Canterbury Richmond and the VCUHS Critical Care Tower.
“It brings me great satisfaction knowing that I helped make sure every man and woman made it home safely to their families after a day on the jobsite,” said John. “I also like knowing that our team was a part of something that has helped make people’s lives and our communities a better place.”
Dwayne has led W. M. Jordan Company’s modeling and planning operations since 2009. Named a Virtual Innovator in class of 2016, he is a recognized leader in his industry. Dwayne holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Architectural Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds an AGC certificate for BIM Management.
Dwayne constantly develops innovative methodologies that help W. M. Jordan Company maintain a competitive edge, such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and similar tools. Embracing a whole team approach with meticulous attention to detail, he works with our clients, design partners, subcontractors and internal staff to maximize the benefits of virtual design and construction on each project.
A champion for integrating technology into the design and construction process, Dwayne serves as a teacher, mentor, and facilitator for several organizations. He is a founding member of the Hampton Roads Revit User Group, an active member of Virginia Revit User Group and Charlottesville Revit User Group, Autodesk University, AUGI and AGC . Dwayne is a former member of DBIA BIM Committee, a member of the Models & Implementation Guidance (MIG) team for the National BIM Standard (NBIMS), and the Building Smart Alliance. Dwayne also serves as the ABC Student Chapter Ambassador at Norfolk State University, and was recently appointed to the ABC National Work Force Development Committee.
Andy joined W. M. Jordan in 2020 as part of a strategic effort and expansion plan for the Carolinas.Andy is part of the Leadership Team in the W. M. Jordan Greenville, South Carolina office, and works to assist clients with Preconstruction and Construction Services. Andy has lived in the Greenville area his entire life and has been working in the construction industry for over 25 years.
In 1995, Andy began his construction career going to work for his family construction business. Starting in the field, Andy began working on projects as a Superintendent for ten years.He experienced working in diverse market segments, such as Senior Living, Industrial and Municipal work. In 2005, Andy transitioned to Senior Project Manager and Business Development, continuing to work in municipal markets as well as K-12 and medical markets. In 2008, Andy purchased the majority shares of his family company and began to focus the company’s growth to projects with alternate delivery methods, including CM-at Risk and Design Build. Over the next ten years, Andy led the company from revenues of $20 million per year to over $100 million per year and worked on high profile projects such as Clemson Indoor Football Practice Facility and Clemson University Football Operations Facility.In 2020, Sherman Construction and W. M. Jordan merged resources to establish WMJ’s fifth office location in Greenville, South Carolina.Andy works closely with the Wilmington team to assist clients in the Carolinas.
Andy received an associate’s degree while attending night classes from Greenville Technical College while working as a superintendent. He furthered his career development by completing AGC Project Supervision Certification and AGC Company Leadership Forum.Andy has been part of Sandler Sales Training for 6 years and spends some of his time assisting and coaching others in best sales practices. Andy carries a General Contracting license in 4 states, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee.
Andy has been married to his wife Heather for over 20 years and has 2 daughters, Madison and Campbell.He enjoys time with his family at the lake and Clemson Football.
Senior Executive Assistant and Director of Corporate Events
Holli joined W. M. Jordan Company in 2005 and has since enjoyed a career of growth and opportunity over the past 18 years. Since 2012, she has been the Executive Assistant to Executive Chairman, John Lawson. In her role as Senior Executive Assistant, she supports our Executive Chairman and our WMJ Board of Directors as Assistant Corporate Secretary.
Since 2008, Holli has been involved in the successful planning and execution of many of our notable company wide events including corporate anniversary celebrations, our annual WMJ Charity Golf Classic benefiting CHKD, retirement celebrations for our WMJ Alumni, and many other memorable events. As the Director of Corporate Events, she leads company wide events from conceptualization through logistics to successful completion. Our WMJ team always has a reason to come together, and she ensures that large-scale employee events and regional fun committee events provide ample opportunity for fun, camaraderie, and philanthropic outreach to our communities across all of our geographic regions.
Holli enjoys giving back to our company and community as Chair of the WMJ Hope Fund, Vice Chair of the United Way of the Peninsula Emerging Leaders Society Steering Committee, Member and Mentor for the ODU Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), and member of the American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP).
As a project executive, Jerry brings over 30 years of experience to W. M. Jordan. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and holds a B.S. in Construction Management from East Carolina University. Jerry has been instrumental in project management, mentorship, learning & development, and overall leadership in our Wilmington office and has helped our Wilmington regional office continue to grow and expand. Jerry has successfully delivered multiple K-12, Higher Education Facilities, Federal / Military, Hospitality, Light Industrial, Office Buildings and Big Box Retail projects over the course of his carrier.
